Since last March there is a new visit guide in Casa Milà. It is “L’altra Pedrera” (“The other Pedrera”), a new activity that allows visitors to learn more from Casa Milà, one of the most famous works of Gaudí in Barcelona.
This special and extensive tour allows you to discover places that few visitors have had the privilege of seeing and to know all the changes that have transformed the building during its 100 years of history. The visit is full of anecdotes that will discover multiples curiosities of Casa Milà. If you wonder what happened in the building during the Spanish Civil War, what changes has undergone or what La Pedrera housed an underground garage to the rise apartments to in elevator, this is a visit you can not miss during your stay in Barcelona. Even if you already have been there or if you do not, you will know all about the great first Gaudí’s work. This is a unique opportunity to discover new places and details of its history.
Casa Milà modernist building, designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, was built between 1906 and 1910 in the Passeig de Gràcia of Barcelona and opened to the public in 1987. Every year it brings together thousands of tourists and has become one of the most visited places in the city.
The tour is every Saturday at 12.15h, in Catalan and it takes one hour and a half. Tickets for “L’altra Pedrera” are available in advance at Casa Milà website or in the main entrance at Provença Street. The price is 12€.
