24/6 Jose Guerrero. The Presence of Black 1950-1966
Omm Spa Barcelona presents José Guerrero, the painter born in Granada in 1914 and who lived part of his life in Barcelona until he died in 1991. He experienced an “American age” that marked his journey as an artist and person and it’s now on display in the exhibition “the presence of black (1950-1966)”. This exhibition allows us to contemplate his first forays into abstraction, his experimental “portable frescoes” of the early 50s, his foray into abstract expressionism and, finally, his reunion with the Spanish memory.
