Forensic Architecture, an exhibition that leaves no one indifferent. A new investigative method, evidences on the violation of the human rights through the methodological architecture. The MACBA, with the support of the Culture Program of the European Union will be in charge of hosting this exhibition in its facilities from 28 to 15 October.
Forensic Architecture is a research agency at Goldsmiths, University of London; Formed by a team of architects, students, film directors, designers, lawyers and scientists. They are responsible for providing evidence to international tribunals and at the same time collaborate with activist groups, ONG’s, Amnesty International and the United Nations in involving several international processes. They use the methodological architecture for the investigation of armed conflicts, the environmental destruction and complement the probationary sources of the digital media and social networks to denounce new forms of state violence.

Curated by Rosario Güiraldes and directed by Eyal Weizman, the exhibition shows the practice of this group of researchers, focusing on the origins of their work, their history, and the achievements of the organization, the potential they have and the limitations they face. Forensic Architecture has drawn the attention of the public thanks to the surprising data they have presented on the violation of human rights and crimes of State and it has opened the way to a new investigative practice.
