Gaudí Route

Categories
Art, Barcelona, Hotel Omm, Paseo de Gracia

In the center of the Eixample, next to out 5* hotel in Paseo de Gracia, you can find the most colorful and popular houses by the artist: in the corner with Provença street we find the famous Pedrera – Casa Milà – that takes us with its likeness to the sea waves to an underwater world, with forms drawn from nature; and Casa Batlló, a metaphor of the famous legend of Sant Jordi.

These pieces seem to guide us to which I probably the best known work of Antonio Gaudí: the Sagrada Familia, a basilica that has become a symbol of this city, a historical work that has been written for many years and has us still waiting to know the end.

But Gaudí doesn’t end here: the Park Güell, which like other of his works bears the name of his main sponsor, is the undisputed piece to understand his comprehension of nature and architecture, where both come together with great harmony for the delight of the thousands visitors it hosts every year.

The Route visit the main and leser-known Gaudí’s works:

  • Basilica of the Sagrada Familia
  • Casa Batlló
  • Tower and Viaduct Bellesguard
  • Casa Calvet
  • Casa Museu Gaudí
  • Casa Vicens
  • Teresian College
  • Colonia Güell
  • La Pedrera
  • The Gothic neighborhood
  • MUHBA – Barcelona History Museum in the Park Güell
  • Palau Güell
  • Park Güell
  • Pavilions of the Finca Güell

An interesting tour through the most significant pieces of Gaudí, showing a Barcelona that is unthinkable without the artist and his legacy. Barcelona is the city of Gaudí, who turned it in his canvas and made it a unique city in the world. The Omm luxury hotel in Barcelona encourages you to visit these works that have made this city what it is today: an architectural spectacle full of life.
