Anne-Sophie Mutter will perform in Barcelona! She will be part of the November billboard of the Palau de la Música, located in the charismatic neighborhood of Barcelona, the Born. The show of this German violinist will be on Friday 17 at 8.30 pm in the Concert Hall of this emblematic auditorium designed by the modernist architect Domènech i Muntaner.

A great promise from an early age

The musical career of Anne-Sophie Mutter started very, very soon. When she was just five years old she started playing the piano and soon discovered the violin, studying the art of music with great masters such as Erna Honigberger and Aida Stücki.

Later, with only thirteen years, the director Herbert von Karajan invited her to be part of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Berlin. Finally, the great debut came … In 1977, this artist dazzled at the Salzburg Festival with the English Chamber Orchestra.

Today, while it is true that in her repertoire we can find many works of the classical and romantic period, Anne-Sophie Mutter is well known for the interpretation of contemporary composers such as Witold Lutoslawski, Krzysztof Penderecki, Wolfgang Rihm and Sofia Gubaidulina.

Finally, she arrives in the city next week in a performance with Lambert Orkis on piano and Roman Patkoló on double bass. Together, accompanying Anne-Sophie and her ever-faithful violin, they will delight the ears and move the emotions of everyone present.
