This annual design event organized by the Barcelona Design Center (BCD) returns to Barcelona from June 5 to 14. During those days Barcelona will become the world capital of design, approaching all citizens and visitors.

Design on each corner

Industrial design, interior and furniture, architecture and urban planning, fashion and accessories, textile design, graphic design and illustration, digital design, service design, food design… The Barcelona Design Week is organized around these and more categories, bringing together a great variety of different expressions of design and collecting the creativity that sets the trend.

To continue with the trend of this event and in order to facilitate the attendance and mobility of the attendees, the more than 120 activities will be divided into days and neighborhoods:

– Wednesday June 6: Ciutat Vella.

– Thursday June 7: Sants, Poblesec and Eixample.

– Friday June 8: Sarrià and Sant Gervasi.

– Saturday June 9: Poblenou and Sant Martí.

– Sunday June 10: Sant Antoni.

– Monday June 11: Gràcia.

– Tuesday June 12: Sarrià and Sant Gervasi.

– Wednesday June 13: Ciutat Vella.

– Thursday June 14: Sants, Poblesec and Eixample.

In this way, it is a matter of literally converting the city of Barcelona into a city full of design, in which every corner and neighborhood can be met with during the days of the Barcelona Design Week. And so, the design reaches all corners of the city and everyone who walks through.

The organization anticipates that the attendance to the event of previous years will be exceeded. That is to say, the forecast is that more than 5,000 people who attended the last edition will approach the different activities.

The selection of events and the theme on which Barcelona Design Week will go is still, however, to be determined. To do this, the next week of April 16 the organization of this event, that is, the BCD (Barcelona Center de Disseny) and the FAD (Promotion of Arts and Design) will make a statement in which it will give the resolution and poster of the selected events for this 13th edition of the Barcelona Design Week.

And to close this day of creative events, what better way to enjoy a moment for yourself in a design icon in the city: our luxury hotel in Barcelona.

Come to Hotel Omm to have a drink in our cocktail bar in the Lobby, to share a pica-pica with friends in Roca Bar or to taste a Michelin-starred gastronomic dinner in Roca Moo and surround yourself with the art, creativity and design that have made of the Omm an emblem in Barcelona.

From the characteristic facade of Juli Capella to the interior design of Sandra Tarruella and Isabel López, including the illustrations by Mariscal or the uniforms designed by Josep Abril… Here you can breathe design!
