The National Museum of Natural Science in Barcelona, also known as Museu Blau, is one of the most important, complete, and old museums in the city. It has 130 years on the run, in which it has been growing fast, adding many interesting pieces to its collections of mineralogy, paleontology, zoology and botanical samples. Thanks to the many donations it has received through the years from people around the world and also thanks to its own research projects, this museum is capable of offer the best cultural activities for all member of the family. It doesn’t matter how old are you, nor if you go alone or with company, Museu Blau it’s for sure an extremely amuse experience and filled with curious tips of science.

Through all year, they offer several activities, whether for school trips, groups, tourist, families and others. The events the hold can be workshops, guided visits, temporary exhibitions, etc.

Currently it is showing the temporary exhibition called “Spinosaurus: the lost giant of Cretaceous”, in which you can see a real size skeleton of the Spinosaurus; the first dinosaur adapted to swim that is known now. This exhibition is possible thanks to the cowork of Museu Blau with National Geographic Society, and it will be available until march 13th of 2017. For toddlers, the museum has an activity called “Science’s Nest”, is an activity directed for kids up to 0-6 years old, and its purpose is to promote science and enjoy through the element of surprise and detection. A very fun activity for kids to enjoy along with their parents.
