Cubism and war at Picasso Museum
Curated by Christopher Green, the exhibition offers more than 70 works from the most prestigious art galleries in the world such as the MOMA in New York, Pompidou in Paris or Tate in London. Among these works there are paintings, sculptures and works on paper of different artists residing in France between 1914 and 1918 as Picasso, Braque, Gris, Rivera or Matisse.
Art thatgives you goosebumps
An extensive and impressive display of art that reflects a crude and impressive reality and geometric of what was experienced in a country that had more than 100 km of war front.
Cubism, through geometric shapes shows images, complicated to identify with the naked eye in some cases, although very deep once understood. In this case we see the different versions of each artist of the same war stage which adds a point of interest to this extensive exhibition.
From our design hotel in Barcelona we recommend this exhibition to know a little more about European history and at the same time to be able to contemplate different points of view within the same artistic current. Do not miss these and other exhibitions of the Picasso Museum, a unique space both for the area as for the museum itself and its exhibitions.
