Dinner under the stars at the Fabra Observatory
This summer time it’s not just about the beach, you can also live and enjoy magical moments during the warm summer nights that offer us a clear sky to appreciate the best panoramic views of the city under the starry sky. The Real Academy of Sciences & Arts of Barcelona has organized the event “Dinner with Stars” with intention of combining gastronomy and astrology at the same place for public amusement.
A magical place
The Fabra Observatory is the place chosen to carry out this starry dinner. Located at the San Gervasi neighborhood the Observatory has been in active since its opening back in 1904, a ceremony hosted by the king Alfonso XIII himself and the government president at the time, Mr. Antonio Maura. Property of the Real Academy of Sciences & Arts of Barcelona, it specifically works in the scientific fields of: astronomy, meteorology and seismology.
Now the observatory opens its doors to offer a different experience for the lovers of good gastronomy and curious of the stars. Dinner is served outdoors so you can fully admirer the panoramic view of one the best viewpoints of Barcelona. From Tuesday to Saturday beginning at 20.30h, and with different dinner options to choose like:
– Gourment dinner: includes menu, conference, guided visit and view through the telescope. It is necessary to make reservations for this option.
– Stars Menu: Includes menú, conference, guided visit and view through the telescope. Discounts can be applied to this option.
There’s also a children’s menu option (until 12 years old) and a celebration option that includes cake and a glass of cava at the end of dinner.
