One hundred sixty concerts are waiting for us in this event which began in 2003 with the intention of offering a good activity during the month of August, a month that until then was somewhat bland in terms of music. Because of this, the Mas i Mas group joined the San Miguel brewery to create this festival which has already become a classic in August nights in Barcelona.

This year they have a very varied program. In the Cambra Hall of the Palau de la Música will take place the “Palau 30 ‘, an eclectic circuit three daily concerts of half-hour, La Pedrera of Caixa Catalunya will shelter classical music. Jamboree will host the Jazz, Tarantos the Flamenco, Moog the electronic music and Luz de Gas will host the Groove, funk, R&B, pop and gospel. As you see, there is something for everyone.

And what in on for enjoyment this week? In jazz we can enjoy the giants Kenny Barron & Dave Holland, the Amadeus Homes tribute to BB King, Marco Mezquida, the trio of Xavi Torres and Jerry Gonzalez, Begues and Myriam Swanson.

As for classical music stand Jordi Masó, Laura Gaya & Isabel Fèlix, Abraham & Esther Tena Manrique, Koreans David James Kim & Jinha Park, Andrea Peirón & François-Xavier Fix. And in flamenco we will enjoy Carlos Carbonell throughout the week; the dancer will be accompanied by Joaquín el Duende, Fefi Gomez, Juan Julia, Jose Saucedo and Cristina Hall.

Electronic music will also be represented with Malcom Moore, Dj Spy, Jesper Dahlbäck, Sano, Headbirds & Cautious & The Gardener and Ricardo Tobar & Undo. But if you want something more alternative, do not worry, Mas i Mas has also thought sessions like Joan Margarit & Carles Margarit where jazz and poetry are intertwined.

Omm Hotel & Spa in Barcelona recommends this spectacular festival, where enjoying different styles of music is accessible to everyone.
