Hipermerc’Art, an date with art in Barcelona

A space for new opportunities to arise and for the vibrant creativity that characterizes our city to emerge. This is Hipermerc’Art, a peculiar appointment with art in the Moritz Factory in Barcelona, which puts the focus on emerging artists. Held annually, this initiative becomes the place where newcomers in art can show their work and where visitors have the option of acquiring their original works.

An annual appointment with art

This exhibition, open to the public since November 30, used to be held in the emblematic Vinçon design store, located on Paseo de Gracia, but after it closed its doors in 2015, the Hipermerc’art was moved to the Moritz factory. In this new location, 422 works sold in 2015 and 482 in 2016, so expectations for this year are very positive!

For the newer artists, this is a great opportunity to start marketing their pieces and to publicize their work in a pleasant, modern and carefree space. Of the 32 artists participating in this year’s exhibition, 28 of them are new to the Hipermerc’art.

Variety and originality

The exhibition has about 1,000 original works from different art disciplines including painting, sculpture and photography. It will continue open until January 7.

To those art lovers who are visiting Barcelona during these days, Hipermerc’art is an excellent opportunity to meet new artistic expressions and return home with an original piece of art that will also bring you a nice memory of your days in Barcelona.

The distance between our 5 star hotel and the Moritz Factory, located in Ronda Sant Antoni 39, is relatively short, so we recommend you to walk it by foot, taking a pleasant walk in which you will visit the main streets of the city.

Moreover, if at the end of your visit to the Hipermerc’art exhibition you feel like you need a snack, on Pintor Fortuny Street you will find two of our restaurants from Grupo Tragaluz, Bar Lobo and Luzia, where you can taste a variety of tapas, salads and until pizzas in the wood oven.

A safe bet of culture and gastronomy!
