The IN-EDIT the Musical Documentary Film Festival, returns to the city and this time, is a celebration… because the festival it is turning fifteen years! This edition of the festival, which has become an international benchmark, will take place in Barcelona from 26 October to 5 November. This time comes full of surprises and with a unique programming to celebrate its anniversary.

Special agenda for this year

It’s an attempt to bring life to the viewers through music” … this are the words the artistic director of the festival Luis Hidalgo used to describe the festival, the selection of titles that will be projected within the framework of IN-EDIT. Because as every year, they offer the viewer a musical and visual journey that goes beyond the simple experience of a movie theater.
Cinemas Aribau Club; located in Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes 565, and Aribau Multicines Room 5; located on Calle d’Aribau 5, will be the epicenter of these expected appointments, among which we can highlight the world premiere of Doc Alive: My Life Story by Julian Temple, accompanied by a concert of Suggs, singer of the group Ska Madness .
Other works that attract the faithful public of this festival are the documentaries abput the pianist Alicia de Larrocha, the punk icon Iggy Pop, the legendary metal group Sepultura, or the saxophonist John Coltrane.
Moreover, a curious fact about this year’s edition is that its director, Cristian Pascual, has announced the production company Inedit, creator and organizer of the festival, is currently working on a documentary about the popular  Spanish children’s band Parchís. This would be the first documentary project of the Inedit.

Parallel activities to continue enjoying the festival

In addition to the projections carried out in the cinemas, there will be other activities based in La Cantina, the CCCB and the headquarters of the SGAE. All this thanks to the collaboration of the festival with L’Auditori, Corporación Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals, Betevé and FNAC.
From our design and spa hotel in Barcelona, we invite you to complete the visit to this festival with a gastronomic stop at one of our restaurants of Grupo Tragaluz that you will find near the locations of the IN-EDIT festival. Specifically, we can recommend Lobo Bar, located on Calle Pintor Fortuny 3, a few minutes’ walk from the CCCB and ten minutes by car or public transport from Aribau Multicines.
Bar Lobo is a local with a terrace, a lot of space, modern and bright light, with a great variety of dishes ideal to close with a golden snap a cultural day of cinema. Located in a charming square, it is the perfect place to enjoy some delicious Mediterranean tapas, light dishes such as quinoa salad or wild salmon and other more appetizing portions such as the duck magret or informal chicken fajitas with guacamole. There is everything, for all tastes!
IN-EDIT and Bar Lobo, the perfect combination to say goodbye to October and enter the month of November with great enthusiasm. Moreover, do not miss the many other activities the cultural agenda of Barcelona has to offer!
