Gente Bien

With script and direction by Jordi Milán, Gente Bien tells the story of a family of new rich in the early twentieth century, who is willing to do what is necessary to integrate into the high society of Barcelona; A story that focuses on the need for some people to keep up appearances and all the consequences that this entails. The play divided into four parts, the first takes place in 1917; the second in 1951; the third in 1980 and the fourth part reaches today.

In the beginning, the original text of Rusiñol is a short sainete but members of La Cubana have managed to lengthen it enough to deploy a show where the choreography, songs, jewelry and cofias give life and color to the stage where the public enjoys plenty of time.

In the cast of this play are two great figures of the company such as Mont Plans and Mercè Comes, among other members of different times of La Cubana and three new additions that already have previous experience in musicals. The music, the lyrics, orchestration and musical direction by Joan Vives, scenery and costumes by Montse Amenós and choreography by Leo Quintana.
