Let’s go for a walk around the neighborhood, join us?
Leaving our Barcelona 5 star hotel in Paseo de Gracia to the left towards Pau Claris, the first store we find is La Inmaculada Concepcion, a delicious shop with objects for the rustic urban style house. The owner Bela Adler photographer, http://adlerfresneda.com/ bought it a few years ago and kept the style that had given the previous owner Teresa Mainat, respecting the authenticity of time. Patricia and Ignasi take turns recommending and giving you the best advice.
We walk a little more and we find Dos i Una, a thousand small objects to make a thousand different gifts.
We continue walking and go down Pau Claris, on the left side, we find the bakery Baluard, four generations of bakers and one of the best in Barcelona and below flowers Lloveras. The truth is that it is fortunate to have such authentic and good stores nearby! Baluard bread is made with the best flour and there is something for everyone, spelt bread, Kalamata olives bread, chocolate brioche ,,,, In LLoveras, Xavi makes some beautiful bouquets with elegant flower combinations. Difficult to enter and leave empty-handed.
On the way to the last stop we continue downhill and cross Provença street, another block and cross Mallorca street, until Valencia street where we turn left. In the next corner on the sea side is the Murria grocery store, http://www.murria.cat, an emblematic modernist establishment from 1898, very well preserved, selling Iberian cold meats, cheeses and gourmet items of the highest quality. Joan the owner takes care of you with his blue professional apron, the one of a lifetime. There are no more places like this, if you want to buy an authentic Iberian ham, sobrasada or Menorca cheese or a good wine do not hesitate and come in!
