Nights of Blues in Poble Espanyol

From last June, Thursday nights at Poble Espanyol of Barcelona have become the outdoor stage for the most rhythmic and energetic Blues music melodies. It’s the show, Nits de Blues del Poble Espanyol, that you can visit until September 14.

The Best of Blues

For the fourth consecutive year, Poble Espanyol serves as a stage to receive the artists selected by the Barcelona Blues School, the Capibola Blues Association and the Barcelona Blues Festival for these summer shows.

Among the participating artists, in these three outdoor performances during the month of August at 21 hr, we can highlight: Marc Ferrer Trio, Red Rombo, Sweet Marta & The Blues Shakers, Jimmy Barnatán & The Cocconers, Enma Fernández Trio and A contra Blues.

A magic place

The Poble Espanyol of Barcelona located on Avenue Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia 13, in the area known as Montjuïc, where the National Art Museum of Catalonia, the Magic Fountain, the Palau de Sant Jordi, The Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, and at the top the Castell de Montjuïc, for which this area receives its name.

Going out of our 5 star spa hotel in Barcelona and getting to Montjuïc is really easy. You can easily get there by taking a fun bike ride, a different and ecologic way of getting to know the city better, or taking the Metro Line 3 at the Diagonal station, which is located next to our hotel, precisely in Paseo de Gracia, and arriving to Plaza Espanya station.

At the end of your tour around Montjuïc, or just you to take a break and then go on, you can have an aperitif on the terrace of the shopping center Arenas Plaza España, which has one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the city and from where you can enjoy the best views of the area.
