Festival season is here! The city begins to warm up its engines – and we will charge batteries – to receive a multitude of bands, singers and other international and national artists who will perform in the main stages of Barcelona.

One of the most anticipated festivals is without a doubt the Primavera Sound Festival, whose poster manages to generate, year after year, expectation and illusion like no other. Right down the dates of this 2018 edition, if you do not have them already: from May 30 to June 2, Barcelona vibrate with the music of spring in the Parc del Forum.

The sound of spring

The program of this year’s festival brings artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Björk, Nick Cave and The National, among many others that make Primavera Sound an essential event for music lovers.

Belle and Sebastian, Lorde, Wolf Parade, Holy Bouncer, Warpaint, The Zephyr Bones, Yonaka, Fever Ray, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Floating Points, Mount Kimbie, Mogwai, Cigarettes After Sex, Father John Misty, Arctic Monkeys, ABRA, Grizzly Bear , Fermin Muguruza eta The Suicide of Western Culture, Rhye …

In addition, the organization will offer more than 40 free concerts distributed between Madrid and Barcelona between May 3 and June 3, so that no one is left out of the musical environment which is also the first the first edition of Los Aperitivos del Primavera.

These mid-afternoon concerts are, in fact, the main novelty of this edition. Specifically, artists such as Ferran Palau and Ylia, David Carabén and Sonido Tupinamba (dj set) will perform in Barcelona.

On the other hand, with the initiative of Primavera Als Barris, the organization of the festival will also bring some of the emerging talents of emerging music to the civic centers and cultural spaces of the city. In the neighborhoods of Poblenou, Congrés-Indians, Poble Sec, Gràcia and Sant Andrià de Besòs, you can discover bands like Medal, Malachi Estéreo, Cor Blanc, One Path, Mc Buseta, Nu Drama, Maní Picao, Doll, PIVOT and Goiko, all of them Barceloneses.

If you are planning a trip to Barcelona, what better time of the year than this last week of May in which Barcelona will dance to the rhythm of the most modern bands? And between song and song, feel at home in our hotel in Paseo de Gracia.
