Short film lovers will meet in March in Barcelona
Mecal is the important Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes y Animación de Barcelona (International short and animated films festival of Barcelona), that will fill the city of creativity from March 6 to March 30.
Attendants will watch the most innovative short films every afternoon at CCCB, Ars Santa Mònica, Institut Francès or Fàbrica Moritz de Barcelona. After the attendance success in previous editions, this year its organization has decided to distribute sessions among big venues of the city.
There are four competition sections: International, Oblique, Documentary and Animated short film. This way, festival attendants will be able to watch films that won’t leave anyone indifferent. Short films will compete in those four categories, with international renowned juries to win each prize.
Attending this festival it’s a cheap chance to enjoy culture and to enjoy some different days in Barcelona. To whom who want to go, daily tickets cost €4,50 and the festival pass, just €25.
