Thematic routes in Barcelona: modernist route

In the Paseo de Gràcia, between the Consell de Cent and Aragó Streets, is located what is commonly known as the “block of the discord”, where the modernism architects Lluís Domènech i Montaner, Josep Puig i Cadafalch and Antoni Gaudí built houses for the bourgeois families Lleó Morena, Amatller and Batlló respectively.

Where we find more examples of modernist buildings is in the Eixample district, but actually this architectonic style can be enjoyed in other parts of Barcelona; such as Ciutat Vella, where the incomparable Palau de la Música or the Parc de la Ciutadella are located.
