Presentation of the Transpirenaica Social Solidaria 2018

Next February 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Damm Factory in Barcelona, a social solidarity march for the integration of young people at risk of social exclusion, also known as the Trans-Pyrenees will have its presentation.

What is the Trans-Pyrenees?

The Transpirenaica Social Solidaria is a 800 kilometer march along the Pyrenees that is organized with the aim of promoting awareness, unity and social cohesion of these young people at risk of social exclusion. More than 300 of them will travel for 42 days, along with companions of different associations.

This non-profit initiative was born in 2013 thanks to the effort and collaboration of the “Fundació Formació i Treball“. A non-formal educational project that seeks to change these young people in a creative way and using the mountain as a pretext.

What to achieve with this solidarity march?

Throughout these 800 kilometers we want to give voice to the different stories lived by the participants, experiences that are the true reflection of the effort involved both the journey of the march itself and the integration process they have to overcome.

All these stories reveal the social and emotional transformation of the participants in a privileged scenario: a mountain range, in which there are no borders, a comparison with the force of change to which we can all unite if we support this type of project.

Another aspect that reinforced in these 42 days is to promote the values of acceptance and unconditional acceptance of all these young people.

This social solidarity march celebrates its sixth edition in 2018. From next June 14 until July 27 with a route that will go from Cape Higuer (Basque Country) to Cape Creus (Catalonia).

From our solidarity hotel in Barcelona we encourage you to be part of this exciting action, whether as a volunteer, sponsor, partner or company. Join the change and collaborate with this solidarity social march!
