“Up for a drink tonight? I know just the perfect place. And yes, there’s live music, good live music!”. This is how many of the nights that end at Hotel Omm start… because from Tuesday to Saturday, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, great voices and great songs are played in the Lobby of this luxury hotel in Paseo de Gracia. A relaxing cocktail after work, a casual dinner in the Roca Bar restaurant or a simple friends reunion are some of the moments enlivened by Gigi McFarlane, Crossroads Experience, Mel Semé and Lexter. Check this month’s music schedule here!

Gigi McFarlane, Crossroads Experience y Mel Semé: the stars of October

Gigi McFarlane’s soul and funk sounds set the rhythm of the Lobby on Tuesdays and Fridays. This singer, guitarist and songwriter is known for her versions of different hits of all time, from Tracy Chapman to Michael Jackson or Madonna, as well as for her own songs. Born in London and daughter of a Jamaican mother and a German father, Gigi moved years ago to Barcelona, where she has developed a soul-based career with incursions into international pop rock.

On Wednesday and Saturdays, Crossroads Experience’s acoustic hits brighten up the evening. The guitarist and creator of this project Martín Ortiz builds his music with a fusion of styles such as jazz, dance and alternative music. This singer comes from Buenos Aires and has been based in Barcelona for fifteen years, during the which he has been working with his extensive musical selection.

And on Thursdays, it’s time for Mel Semé and his unique Loopes & Grooves style. This Cuban musician has shared the stage with Damien Rice, Fito Paez, Steve Coleman, Nicholas Payton, Youssou Ndor, Steward Copeland, Giovanni Hidalgo…  Already at a very early age, Mel Semé found in music his biggest passion. He began his career in his hometown’s Baptist church and soon he was attracted by self composition and different instruments like the guitar, the piano and the battery. An artist who carries music in his blood, he graduated from the University of Music of La Habana and was part of the Symphonic Orchestra of La Habana and the Symphonic Orchestra of Camagüey. In 2003 he arrived to Barcelona after traveling throughout Europe on tour with different musical projects.

Meet all of them and their music in the Lobby of Hotel Omm from Tuesday to Saturday and from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. There’s no way you can leave Barcelona without listening to them! When taking pleasure in one of Ciscu’s cocktails or enjoying the tapas and dishes of our Roca Bar, our informal restaurant supervised by the Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca, the music of these artists sounds even better!
