6/9/13 Come to Paseo de Gracia, center of culture and shopping

Paseo de Gracia is one of the main avenues of Barcelona, famous for its tourism, commercial areas, business and outstanding buildings of Modernist architecture.

At number 43 of Paseo de Gracia, the Casa Batlló by the architect Antoni Gaudí, is built remining of a dragon or a bat and it is adjoined by the Casa Amatller, an urban gothic palace designed by Josep Puig I Cadafalch (41). Nearby, we also find the curvaceous Casa Lleó Morera (35) by Lluis Domenech i Montaner, forming a trio called “The apple of discord”.

Also built by Gaudí, at number 92, we find the magnificent Casa Milà, popularly known as “La Pedrera”. Built in the early twentieth century, breaks all the schemes of that time with a structure inspired by the organic forms of nature and a great ornamental creation.

If in addition to art and architecture, you are a fashion addict, the Paseo de Gracia is your best option, as you will find shops to suit all tastes and budgets. From Armani, Burberry, Bvlgari, Cartier, Chanel, Loewe, Yves Saint Laurent, Uterqüe to Mango, Oysho, H&M or Zara. Or buy a little bit of everything in Santa Eulàlia!

Do not miss the new Apple store at the beginning of Paseo de Gracia, in Plaza Catalunya, where you’ll find the last in new technologies and go up the avenue until the corner of Rosselló, where the nice terrace of our Paseo de Gracia Hotel will be waiting for you on the sixth floor.
